FOR MORE THAN THREE DECADES
meditation and training have been part of my life. It all began with curiosity: I wanted to understand what goes on inside us — first in the lab, then in the lecture hall, where I have spent many years accompanying young people on their way into medicine. The most important answers, though, I did not find in books, but in my own practice.
In the lecture hall, in seminar rooms, in hundreds of exams and in the lab, on the mat, at the barbell, in archery and in deep cold water, I learned what it means to be fully present — with whatever is there. Out of that experience grew my MBSR training, and with it the wish to pass on what carries me: pausing, noticing, staying calm.
Today I accompany people and organisations in bringing mindfulness into their everyday lives — calmly, clearly and at their own pace.
IN MY WORK
it is not about theories, but about experience: sensing what is here right now. Pausing before we react. I create spaces where exactly that becomes possible — without pressure, without dogma, at your own pace.
My background as a neuroscientist quietly informs everything I do: what I teach is grounded in science. But at the centre is always your own experience — and what it carries over into everyday life. No esotericism, no big promises. Just a simple practice that carries you.
